{"id":5000,"date":"2026-02-11T14:50:25","date_gmt":"2026-02-11T13:50:25","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/esclerosismultiplegalicia.org\/?p=5000"},"modified":"2026-02-11T14:51:15","modified_gmt":"2026-02-11T13:51:15","slug":"inflamacion-e-estres-oxidativo-na-esclerose-multiple","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/esclerosismultiplegalicia.org\/index.php\/2026\/02\/11\/inflamacion-e-estres-oxidativo-na-esclerose-multiple\/","title":{"rendered":"Inflamaci\u00f3n e estr\u00e9s oxidativo na Esclerose M\u00faltiple"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>A <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/esclerosismultiplegalicia.org\/index.php\/que-e-a-em\/\">Esclerose M\u00faltiple (EM)<\/a><\/strong> \u00e9 unha enfermidade autoinmune, inflamatoria, cr\u00f3nica e neurodexenerativa que afecta ao sistema nervioso central. Nela, o sistema inmunitario identifica erroneamente a <strong>mielina <\/strong>\u2014que \u00e9 a substancia que recobre e protexe as fibras nerviosas\u2014 como unha ameaza e at\u00e1caa, provocando o seu deterioro e destruci\u00f3n e, nalg\u00fans casos, ata dano neuronal. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Este proceso altera a correcta transmisi\u00f3n dos impulsos nerviosos e explica a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/esclerosismultiplegalicia.org\/index.php\/que-e-a-em\/\">diversidade de s\u00edntomas<\/a><\/strong> que poden aparecer coa EM segundo a zona afectada do cerebro ou da m\u00e9dula espi\u00f1al. (1)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Manter o <strong>sistema inmunitario regulado<\/strong> \u00e9, por tanto, moi importante, xa que a s\u00faa activaci\u00f3n excesiva contrib\u00fae \u00e1 <strong>desmielinizaci\u00f3n <\/strong>e ao deterioro cognitivo (2). A evidencia cient\u00edfica actual (1) indica que tanto a <strong>inflamaci\u00f3n <\/strong>relacionada coa alimentaci\u00f3n como o <strong>estr\u00e9s oxidativo<\/strong> contrib\u00faen ao dano no tecido cerebral e a progresi\u00f3n da enfermidade. Neste contexto, a alimentaci\u00f3n \u00e9 unha gran ferramenta complementaria aos tratamentos farmacol\u00f3xicos e rehabilitadores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Inflamaci\u00f3n derivada da alimentaci\u00f3n na Esclerose M\u00faltiple<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Despois de cada comida prod\u00facese de forma natural un proceso chamado<strong> inflamaci\u00f3n posprandial.<\/strong> Tr\u00e1tase dunha resposta inmunometab\u00f3lica normal de adaptaci\u00f3n do corpo \u00e1 dixesti\u00f3n e \u00e1 absorci\u00f3n de nutrintes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Non \u00e9 patol\u00f3xica<\/strong> sempre que sexa:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Leve<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Temporal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Autolimitada (final\u00edzase por si soa)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>O problema aparece cando este est\u00edmulo inflamatorio se repite de forma intensa e prolongada no tempo. Ent\u00f3n pode <strong>cronificarse <\/strong>e contribu\u00edr ao empeoramento de enfermidades inflamatorias como a EM (3). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por todo isto, a <strong>alimentaci\u00f3n <\/strong>consid\u00e9rase un dos factores na modulaci\u00f3n da resposta inflamatoria (4).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Dietas e h\u00e1bitos de vida que agravan a inflamaci\u00f3n derivada da alimentaci\u00f3n<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Determinados patr\u00f3ns alimentarios e h\u00e1bitos de vida poden <strong>intensificar a resposta inflamatoria:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Exceso de graxas saturadas e trans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consumo elevado de azucres simples<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alta inxesta de ultraprocesados<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dietas hipercal\u00f3ricas pobres en micronutrintes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sedentarismo<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Estas situaci\u00f3ns provocan picos esaxerados de<strong> glucosa e l\u00edpidos<\/strong> tras as comidas, favorecendo un entorno proinflamatorio (5). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alimentaci\u00f3n con efecto regulador da inflamaci\u00f3n <\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Pola contra, unha alimentaci\u00f3n baseada en alimentos pouco procesados pode contribu\u00edr a <strong>modular a resposta inflamatoria<\/strong>, as\u00ed como determinados h\u00e1bitos de vida:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Verduras e froitas (especialmente as de baixo \u00edndice gluc\u00e9mico)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Legumes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cereais integrais<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Froitos secos e sementes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Prote\u00ednas magras (animais e vexetais)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Peixe azul rico en omega-3<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Aceite de oliva virxe extra<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Ademais, evitar o alcohol e manter unha actividade f\u00edsica regular potencia este efecto modulador da inflamaci\u00f3n (5).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Fitoqu\u00edmicos: como infl\u00faen na inflamaci\u00f3n<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Moitos alimentos de orixe vexetal conte\u00f1en <strong>fitoqu\u00edmicos<\/strong>, que son compostos naturais que poden actuar como moduladores celulares.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Estes compostos, na s\u00faa forma orixinal ou ao ser metabolizados, poden:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Formar <strong>metabolitos <\/strong>activos e comportarse como mensaxeiros intracelulares activando ou inhibindo a expresi\u00f3n dos xenes implicados nos procesos inflamatorios (4)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Contribu\u00edr \u00e1 <strong>regulaci\u00f3n inmunitaria<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Favorecer un entorno metab\u00f3lico m\u00e1is <strong>equilibrado<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Un dos patr\u00f3ns diet\u00e9ticos con maior respaldo cient\u00edfico que favorece a inhibici\u00f3n de xenes proinflamatorios \u00e9 a <strong>dieta mediterr\u00e1nea<\/strong>, rica en vexetais (verduras e froitas), legumes, cereais integrais, froitos secos, peixe e aceite de oliva, e baixa en graxas saturadas (4, 3).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Ademais, a <strong>fibra <\/strong>diet\u00e9tica favorece o equilibro da <a href=\"https:\/\/esclerosismultiplegalicia.org\/index.php\/2025\/01\/17\/a-microbiota-intestinal-o-segundo-cerebro-que-controla-mais-do-que-pensas\/\"><strong>microbiota intestinal<\/strong>,<\/a> que tam\u00e9n desempe\u00f1a un papel moi relevante na regulaci\u00f3n da inflamaci\u00f3n (6). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Estr\u00e9s oxidativo na Esclerose M\u00faltiple<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>No noso organismo, como produto do metabolismo, x\u00e9ranse uns compostos denominados <strong>radicais libres<\/strong> (7). Estas mol\u00e9culas caracter\u00edzanse por presentar un ou m\u00e1is electr\u00f3ns desparexados, o que as fai quimicamente <strong>inestables <\/strong>e altamente reactivas fronte a outras estruturas celulares (8, 9).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Os radicais libres orix\u00ednanse principalmente durante as <strong>reacci\u00f3ns de \u00f3xido-reduci\u00f3n<\/strong>, que son uns procesos bioqu\u00edmicos esenciais para o corpo nos que as mol\u00e9culas perden electr\u00f3ns (o que se denomina oxidaci\u00f3n) mentres outras mol\u00e9culas os ga\u00f1an (o que se denomina reduci\u00f3n) (10). Estes procesos ocorren de maneira continua nas c\u00e9lulas, especialmente durante a produci\u00f3n de enerx\u00eda nas <strong>mitocondrias <\/strong>(10). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A <strong>oxidaci\u00f3n<\/strong>, \u00e9 dicir, a formaci\u00f3n de radicais libres, non \u00e9 un fen\u00f3meno patol\u00f3xico. De feito, <strong>\u00e9 un proceso indispensable para a vida<\/strong>, xa que \u00e9 o que permite a obtenci\u00f3n da enerx\u00eda celular necesaria para o funcionamento dos tecidos e os \u00f3rganos (10) e, os radicais libres enc\u00e1rganse da sinalizaci\u00f3n celular e a defensa fronte a pat\u00f3xenos sen causar dano estrutural (12). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>En condici\u00f3ns normais, o organismo mant\u00e9n un equilibro co\u00f1ecido como <strong>homeostase redox<\/strong> (11). Este \u00e9 un proceso flexible e adaptativo que permite ao corpo responder a cambios fisiol\u00f3xicos como o exercicio, a inflamaci\u00f3n ou a resposta inmunitaria.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Cando a produci\u00f3n de radicais libres supera a capacidade do corpo de neutralizalos, \u00e9 dicir, hai m\u00e1is radicais libres dos que o corpo pode xestionar, prod\u00facese <strong>estr\u00e9s oxidativo<\/strong>, o que pode xerar danos celulares impredicibles (12). Este <strong>desequilibro <\/strong>as\u00f3ciase co desenvolvemento e progresi\u00f3n de numerosos procesos dexenerativos, enfermidades e s\u00edndromes (13), como no caso da Esclerose M\u00faltiple (13, 14).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sistemas antioxidantes do corpo<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Este equilibro depende de <strong>sistemas de defensa antioxidantes <\/strong>do corpo, que incl\u00faen:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Enzimas <\/strong>espec\u00edficas (super\u00f3xido dismutasa, catalasa, glutati\u00f3n peroxidasa)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Antioxidantes <\/strong>non enzim\u00e1ticos obtidos a trav\u00e9s da dieta (vitamina C, vitamina E, carotenoides, flavonoides, entre outros) (12).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">O estr\u00e9s oxidativo e o dano neurol\u00f3xico na EM<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Na Esclerose M\u00faltiple, a inflamaci\u00f3n cr\u00f3nica do sistema nervioso central est\u00e1 relacionada cun <strong>aumento de especies reactivas de os\u00edxeno e nitr\u00f3xeno<\/strong> (ERO e ERN) (11, 15, 16). Cando estas especies x\u00e9ranse en cantidades que superan a capacidade dos sistemas antioxidantes para neutralizalas, prod\u00facese un <strong>desequilibro redox<\/strong>, dando lugar ao estr\u00e9s oxidativo (11, 15, 16). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Diversos estudos (17) demostraron que:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Estas especies reactivas contrib\u00faen \u00e1 <strong>desmielinizaci\u00f3n<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Favorecen o <strong>dano axonal<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Amplifican a resposta <strong>inflamatoria<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Deste modo establ\u00e9cese un c\u00edrculo vicioso: ao haber progresi\u00f3n na EM, hai m\u00e1is inflamaci\u00f3n, o que leva a m\u00e1is especies reactivas e est\u00e9s oxidativo. Isto leva a un maior dano tisular, o que provoca unha resposta inflamatoria e promove a progresi\u00f3n da EM.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Os radicais libres poden aumentar tam\u00e9n por (17):<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Contaminaci\u00f3n ambiental<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dietas pobres en antioxidantes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Exceso de alimentos ultraprocesados<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Consumo elevado de azucres e graxas saturadas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Actualmente <strong>invest\u00edganse estratexias terap\u00e9uticas<\/strong> dirixidas a reducir o estr\u00e9s oxidativo, pero a\u00ednda se requiren ensaios cl\u00ednicos s\u00f3lidos para confirmar a s\u00faa eficacia (18).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Reducir o estr\u00e9s oxidativo dende a alimentaci\u00f3n<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>A\u00ednda que non substit\u00fae en ning\u00fan caso ao tratamento m\u00e9dico,<strong> a alimentaci\u00f3n permite reducir os factores es\u00f3xenos que provocan o estr\u00e9s oxidativo<\/strong>. Isto \u00e9 debido a que alg\u00fans nutrintes presentes en determinados alimentos axudan a neutralizar as especies reactivas de os\u00edxeno e nitr\u00f3xeno, apoiando as\u00ed a protecci\u00f3n do tecido nervioso e colaborando coa modulaci\u00f3n dos procesos inflamatorios asociados \u00e1 enfermidade (16, 19, 20).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alg\u00fans alimentos que conv\u00e9n reducir son:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Exceso de <strong>azucres <\/strong>simples<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Graxas saturadas <\/strong>e trans<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Carnes vermellas <\/strong>en exceso<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ultraprocesados<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Bebidas azucaradas<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Alg\u00fans <strong>aditivos <\/strong>artificiais (pero ollo, non todos son prexudiciais)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h5 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Alimentos con efecto antioxidante:<\/h5>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Verduras <\/strong>e <strong>froitas <\/strong>variadas<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Legumes<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Prote\u00ednas <\/strong>animais magras (evitando o exceso de carne vermella)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Cereais <strong>integrais<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Froitos secos <\/strong>e sementes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Peixe <\/strong>(sobre todo graxo, de talla pequena)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Ovos<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Aceite <\/strong>de olive virxe extra<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Aguacate<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Estes alimentos aportan <strong>fibra <\/strong>(que favorece a microbiota e reduce a inflamaci\u00f3n derivada da alimentaci\u00f3n), <strong>\u00e1cidos graxos insaturados<\/strong> (omega-3 e omega-9 con perfil antiinflamatorio), <strong>antioxidantes <\/strong>(vitamina C, vitamina E, b-carotenos, flavonoides, licopeno&#8230;) (16) e <strong>minerais e vitaminas clave<\/strong> (magnesio, zinc ou \u00e1cido f\u00f3lico). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u00c9 importante destacar que actualmente non existe evidencia cient\u00edfica conclu\u00ednte que respalde a suplementaci\u00f3n con altas doses illadas de antioxidantes como unha estratexia eficaz na EM.<strong> A prioridade debe ser sempre a alimentaci\u00f3n equilibrada. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Personalizaci\u00f3n: un factor importante<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Cada persoa, e m\u00e1is cada persoa con EM, pode<strong> responder de formas moi diferentes <\/strong>a determinados alimentos. Identificar <strong>intolerancias<\/strong>, <strong>sensibilidades <\/strong>ou <strong>s\u00edntomas <\/strong>asociados a certos produtos forma parte do autocoidado.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>O obxetivo non \u00e9 a restrici\u00f3n indiscriminada, pero si constru\u00edr un<strong> patr\u00f3n alimentario sostible, individualizado e baseado en evidencia cient\u00edfica<\/strong>. Por iso, para ter en conta a inflamaci\u00f3n e o estr\u00e9s oxidativo e regulalos, podes consultar con especialistas que poidan facer seguimento, ademais de escoitar a resposta do teu
